Lavazza is the No 1 bestselling brand with in the Roast and Ground market in the UK

Qualita Rossa epitomises the brand: its quality and fine balance of African Robusta beans which give the body and chocolate aroma; and the natural Arabica from the Brazilian highlands, which give the mild aroma. This coffee is perfect for breakfast and is not surprisingly therefore the number 1 bestselling brand within the Roast and Ground market in the UK.

The starting point for the Lavazza we know today was a small grocery shop in Turin, opened on the 24th of March 1894 by Luigi Lavazza. It has since then grown to be a billion pound company based on its quality coffee range which continues to grow in strength and popularity across the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

With the market leading Espresso ranges, Lavazza is the number 1 brand of roast and ground coffee in the UK, with a range of blends that is a perfect wake up call for any coffee connoisseur. These blends are suitable for all coffee makers.

Lavazza’s manufacturing sites are all in Italy

  • Settimo Torinese: the roasting plant situated on the outskirts of Turin (the largest roasting factory in Europe)
  • The Verres plant in Valle d’Aosta, also dedicated to roasting and packaging
  • Mokapak, located in Gattinara, near Vercelli, produces the Lavazza “Espresso Point”, Lavazza “BLUE” and Lavazza’s “A Modo Mio” are all closed systems
  • Mokadec, located in Pozzilli (Isernia), is dedicated to the decaffeination process

The courses organised by the Lavazza Training Centre are an integral part of the Group’s quality system. Lavazza quality continues after completion of the production cycle; it extends to coffee preparation and consumption, through coffee education activities aimed at coffee consumers and food service professionals worldwide.

Our aim is clear: “quality consumption”.
